My drama, if it were still to take place, would take place during an uprising. The uprising begins with a walk. Against traffic regulations, during working hours. The street belongs to the pedestrians. Here and there, a car is turned over. My place, if my drama were still to take place, would be on both sides of the front, between the front lines, further from them. I stand in the sweaty, reeking mass of the people and throw stones at police, soldiers, tanks, bulletproof glass. I look through the machine-gun-proof double glass doors at the advancing crowd and feel the sweat of my fear. Suffocated by nausea, I shake my fist at myself. My roles are spitter and spittoon, knife and wound, tooth and throat, neck and rope. I am a databank. I am not Hamlet. — Heiner Müller, "Hamletmachine"
"Feedback" speaks of the possibility and impossibility of protest in our heads and on the streets. The production continues the Von Krahl Theatre ensemble's search for how to create performances that combine the poetic and the political, the personal and the societal. The production is created in collaboration with the ensemble and director Juhan Ulfsak.
