Il pavimento is a durational action which explores the physical work of cleaning associated to female labour by taking it from indoor circumstances to the main square.

A personal reflection that inspired the action:
I don't see any green ares in the streets of Melpignano... For me, an Estonian, the square feels almost like an indoor space. It makes me want to take off shoes. What if we clean this floor?
Task:
3 performers undress and change into functional outfits in the middle of Piazza San Giorgio. The paved area including stairs and sidewalks is carefully cleaned from one side to another using different tools associated with domestic cleaning labour, such as mops, sponges, cloth and napkins.
